BYOKBring your own keyOn Pro and above, connect your own OpenRouter key to run debates on your own account, bypassing your monthly quota for effectively unlimited usage.
In shortPaste your OpenRouter API key in Settings. Debates then run on your OpenRouter account instead of your Alethe token pool. Encrypted at rest, toggle on and off anytime. Pro and Apex only.
What BYOK isBYOK('bring your own key')lets you connect a personal OpenRouter API key. When it's on, Alethe routes the models' calls through your OpenRouter account instead of the platform's.
Why use itIt bypasses your monthly Alethe token pool entirely: usage is billed on your own OpenRouter credits, so you can run as much as you want. Handy if you already have OpenRouter credits or need heavy volume.
Is it safe?Your key is encrypted before it's stored (the platform never keeps it in plain text), is never shown back to you in full, and is never exposed to your browser. You can toggle it off or delete it at any time, and see your OpenRouter credit usage from Settings.
